Color, nose and palate
The rich flavours confirm it to be a classic dry Barossa Riesling. A rich and rounded valley floor Riesling with bright citrus flavours on the nose and a tanginess that bounces around the palate. Slightly Germanic in style, there is a very pleasant fruit sweetness that gives the wine good length.
Cellaring potential: It is so fresh that most will be enjoyed young however, if left a couple of years, it will age just as gracefully as the superb 2008 vintage has done.
Food recommendation: Great with seafood, risottos and cheese platters.
Out of stock
Planted around 30 years ago, the fruit comes from very well established Riesling vines. This is distinctly valley floor fruit which has a major bearing on the flavour profile given the warm climate. The growing conditions for this vintage were superb producing one of the largest crops on record where the quantity was very definitely matched by the quality.
