Color, nose and palate

 
Due to the exceptional vintage I always knew this was going to be a terrific Cabernet, but now with some time in bottle it is beautiful, showing elegance, poise and finesse. Red colour, the nose shows exotic mix of berries, spice and floral aromas. Blackcurrant, blackberry, plum and cherry fruits mix seamlessly with characters of sage, black olive, nutmeg, licorice and dusty vanillin oak. The palate is silky smooth with controlled concentration of fruit flavours, super fine chalky tannin ensuring palate length and aging longevity along with refreshing raspberry acidity.

 

Cellaring potential: An enormous drinking window of now to about 2025.

WINEMAKER’S NOTES

The 2010 vintage was a near perfect one for ripening Cabernet Sauvignon with mild sunny autumn weather and no threat of rain so there was any rush to pick until the grapes were perfectly ready.
The 2010 Juniper Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is made 100% from our Estate vines planted in 1973 and grown in the Wilyabrup area of Margaret River. Hence this is a single vineyard wine representing the best portions of wine that reflect the nature of the site and the weather conditions of the 2010 vintage.
Small quantities of other complimentary varieties are trialled during the final blending to further add to the depth and complexity of the Cabernet Sauvignon.
Elegant structure, complexity, depth of quality fruit and balance are the key goals with cellaring potential of at least 10 years.
