2011 Juniper Estate Cabernet Sauvignon
Halliday 95/100
Color, nose and palate
Deep red in colour, with a nose that shows ripe blackcurrant, blackberry, plum and cherry fruits mix seamlessly with characters of sage, black olive, licorice and mocha vanillin oak. The palate is generous and silky smooth with controlled concentration of fruit flavours, super-fine chalky tannins ensuring palate length and aging longevity, along with refreshing raspberry acidity.
Cellaring potential: Elegant structure, complexity, depth of quality fruit and balance are the key goals with cellaring potential of at least 10 years.

Winemaker’s comments
The 2011 vintage had a quite warm summer & autumn producing Cabernet Sauvignon with generous ripe fruit flavours and plush tannins, making for a more approachable wine in its youth. This is a single vineyard wine representing the best portions of wine that reflect the nature of the site and the weather conditions of the 2011 vintage. Small quantities of other complimentary varieties are trialled during the final blending to further add to the depth and complexity of the Cabernet Sauvignon.
