Winemaker’s comments
The fruit for this wine was grown in Lovedale sub region sourced from the Majors Lane and Trinity vineyards. These vineyards consistently produce excellent quality fruit from a 3 acre block grown on loamy/clay soils.
Handpicked, pressed and transferred into barrels for 100% barrel fermentation. Three different yeast isolates were used to create this fine Chardonnay. 10% malolactic fermentation was induced to add complexity, whilst keeping fruit integrity and balance.
