Color, nose and palate
The bouquet has the earthy spicy fragrance of Grenache, on the palate you get juicy plum and black cherry flavours. An elegant wine with a long dry savoury palate with firm tannins from the Mataro balancing the sweet Grenache and Shiraz fruit.
Food recommendation: A wonderful barbeque wine, also pairs well with roast lamb, charcuterie or vegetable pizza.

GMS – Grenache, Mourvedre, Shiraz
Vintage Notes: A long dry summer with extreme heat was broken in early Feb with up to 100mm of rain falling in some parts of the valley. This resulted in near perfect condition for the grapes to finish ripening. Yields were low but the quality excellent
Varietals:40% Grenache, 31% Mourvedre, 29% Shiraz
Winemaking: Given the particular nature of our rocky soils, old vines and organic cultivation methods, we believe this makes the best and most interesting blend. It looks like a simple choice, but it takes a lot of thinking and tasting to get it right. After all, the most important part of any blend is what you leave out. Each component of the wine is fermented naturally in open top fermenters. Then transferred to old 300lt French oak barrique barrels for 12-18 months. The wine is then blended in tank before bottling.
