2017 Mitchell “The Wattle” Dry White

Color, nose and palate
This wine has a powerful, concentrated aromatic intensity showing lemon, lime and spring flowers on the nose. The palate has immense generosity of fruit flavour and incredible mineral complexity and length.
Food recommendation: Seafood dishes especially oysters! Asian cuisine, anything with chilli or spice.
Cellaring potential: Easily approachable when young but we have no doubt that the quality of the vintage will reward cellaring this wine for more than a decade.

Description
Vintage Notes: 2017 vintage was a throw back to the later starting and long lasting vintages of the 90’s. Near perfect conditions and a long ripening period resulted in outstanding fruit.
The Vineyards: Fruit for this wine is sourced from our dry grown vineyards in Watervale and our Auburn Hills vineyard. The vine age ranges from 20 to 60 years.
The Winemaking A traditional, low intervention style. The grapes are hand harvested and treated very carefully in the winery. The wine experiences a long gentle fermentation with our indigenous vineyard yeasts and is aged on lees before bottling.
